While you were sleeping…
No… this isn’t a horror post
In fact, it’s more a comedy than a horror post XD. Remember during those days when you had camping trips or had sleepovers? The first person to fall asleep is usually the person who risked having a bunch of unglam and/or humourous photos taken of them. Some au natural (think drool and open mouths), some with a bit of help given (think toothpaste, markers, and the works). Haha! Have you ever been on the receiving end?
Here’s a cute twist to the ‘while you were sleeping’ routine. This guy had a whole music video composed with him soundly asleep in the van!

And, cos we are obsessed (in a healthy way of course
) about all-things health, we couldn’t help but think of exercise reps while watching that video. Dancing is a form of exercise, a fun one at that! Here’s a simple aerobic dance routine that you could do at home

Happy Family!
If you were born in the 80s, this simple card should be no stranger to you. The goal of the game was to get as many families together, as they would be all mixed up in the shuffle of cards. Pretty profound meaning to the game, don’t you think?
Remember Chop the butcher, Constable the policeman and Pipe the plumber? There are many variations of the families that are featured in a particular pack, with different illustrations. Do you still have a pack at home? If you do, photograph it and put it on our Facebook page!
Let’s share some memories with each other!
Oops, looks like we got too carried away talking about the card game! XD This post is supposed to be a lil *hint* to a weekly contest that is to come soon!!! Watch this space (and of course our Facebook page) closely for a chance to win RM50 cash vouchers weekly!!
*Excited* \(^-^)/
Y is for Yoghurt :9
Did you know that…
… the combination of yoghurt and honey was once known as the ‘food of gods’? Try it and maybe you’ll understand why
… yoghurt was used as a cure for diarrhea, and the bacteria commonly used in yoghurt – Lactobacillus – was thought to be essential for good health. In fact, people believed that the consumption of the bacteria would help to prolongs one’s life!
… lactose-intolerant people can eat yoghurt without negative effects? This is because during the process of fermentation (yes, yoghurt is a type of fermented milk), the lactose in the milk is converted to glucose, galactose and lactic acid.
… has nutritional values that surpasses milk! It is rich in calcium, protein, and vitamins B2, B6 an B12.
… Juice Works offers a range of fruity drinks that have the goodness of yoghurt in them? To name a few… Mango Sensation, Apricot Blusher, Berry Licious, Body Builder, and Mango Passion. Are any of these your favourite drink from Juice Works? Share with us why ! ^-^

As you know, Mother’s Day is in another 10 days! Need gift ideas? Here are some green gift ideas (love Mom, and don’t forget Mother Earth too! XD):
1. A tiny terrarium
Here is a *website* with some videos on how to make one, and this *website* has a cool idea of making a mini terrarium in a used light bulb.
2. A conscious box
This *interesting idea* is the brainchild of three young entrepreneurs who wanted to help truly-green businesses to reach out to consumers. They don’t ship out of United States yet, but the idea is something which can be done here! Just make your own “conscious box” by filling in a (recycled) box with several eco-friendly products that you know she will love.
3. Beeswax candles
Candles can soften the mood of a room and produce aromas that can relax ^-^. Does your mom need some pampering? Consider making her some beeswax candles. They are surprisingly easy to make!

Haile Gebrselassie on what makes up that one big push…
“… one push is for my mother, my father and my family’s hopes, one push to clear from the challenge and poverty of the past, one push for those who said I couldn’t do it, and one push for the dreams of Africa. There is one big push, waiting inside you. Just keep going, keep walking.”
When you face a storm, what helps you pick yourself up repeatedly and journey on? Have you found what your one big push is? Share it with us and while we are at it, let’s thank the people who played (and continue to play) a part in our lives ^-^.

‘Ordinary’ people who did the extraordinary *click*
What strikes you as extraordinary? Perhaps the recent Bersih 3.0 rally, in which Malaysians of all races, religions, political backgrounds, and even in various geographical locations gathered for the cause of fair and clean elections? Perhaps the united effort of Malaysians in appealing to the public and spreading the word of the abduction of a 13-year old boy in Malaysia? Perhaps these events make us consider, that to be Malaysian is to be extraordinary? ^-^ What do you think?
Juice Works is proud to be a Malaysian-based company and we strive our best to be extraordinary in our vision to bring healthy, affordable food & drink options to the masses. We hope our efforts in this has been evident to our dear customers

♫♪ Fruit Salad, Yummy, Yummy
We’ll let the Wiggles do the talking (actually, singing
) here! XD Enjoy!

And to finish off for today, make your own yummy fruit salad
Just mix a variety of fruits in a bowl and make a fruity or nutty sauce to help unite the flavours. It’s simple, fun, nutricious and yummy! Here’s one you might want to try:
Mix 4-5 varieties of cut fruit in a large bowl.
(Say, you could try one juicy fruit, for that thirst quencing satisfaction - watermelon,
one sweet flavourful fruit – canned peaches,
a slightly bitter fruit will be able to reach each mouthful – pomelo, and
one ‘staple’ fruit – apples)
To dress the fruit salad, we say try a Malaysian touch
Make your own durian-milk dressing! Blend durian flesh with skimmed milk (the milk acts as a “thinner” to the dressing, so add milk according to the dressing consistency you wish to have). Chill the sauce and drizzle over individual portions of the fruit salad before serving!
We hope you enjoy this recipe!
W is for Watermelon
How can anyone not be a fan of this brightly-coloured thirst-quenching tropical fruit? We at Juice Works seriously can’t imagine it! Just thinking of it makes us want a luscious slice of watermelon goodness now! XD
Did you know?
1. Watermelons are berries! More specifically, they are pepos!
2. Watermelons are 92% water and 6% sugar! Bet you didn’t know water could taste sooo good!
3. Cubic and pyramidal-shaped watermelons exist! Not naturally, but through the Japanese ingenious ways, they do exist!
4. Most of us a familiar with the watermelon varieties that have red or yellow flesh. Did you know white- and orange-fleshed varieties also exist? Hmm.. we wonder what they taste like..
5. Watermelons make a fabulous ingredient in coolers and cocktails! Click *here* and *here* for some recipes. In fact, they make a lovely addition to *salads*, *main dishes*, and *desserts* too!
6. Watermelon is an ingredient in many of our Juice Work’s juices! There’s Lychee Cooler, Water Berry, Water Works, Pink Lemonade and Spring Clean. Are any of these your favourite? Share with us why! ^-^
Pop by our outlets today and celebrate Labour Day with us, with some good ol’ watermelon goodness!

What would a Juice Works’ Nyan Cat look like? Perhaps it would don a basket of fruits on its head like Carmen Miranda?
? Or leave of trail of fruits and hearts? What music would be played to the Juice Works’ Nyan Cat? Share your thoughts and ideas with us. Or better yet, if you have the expertise, create one for us!
That would be really awesome! ^-^
